Based on this definition:
Mutilation or maiming is an act of physical injury that degrades the appearance or function of any living body, sometimes causing death.
Appearance isn't an issue. Whenever you get to the point that it no longer function would be the key. You claim it does degrade function, I disagree, I function just fine. It's easier for us to keep clean, so that increased some characteristics. Obviously, we can't go back and get our foreskin to see if it actually did degrade pleasure function.
I got my wife pregnant, I can pee fine, and sex feels awesome, so my functions are covered for my penis.

Uh... I do. You know... since that's where we live, and where my son will be finding a wife.
I would imagine it would be more traumatizing for a dude to pull his pants down and get laughed at or the dreaded "EW GROSS" from his first sexual partner than it would be for him to have it fixed as an infant.
