Get her training on the interstate now for heavens sake or you will regret it if something happens because she freaks out
this is a dumb take

Leave the dude alone

My previous car was totaled bc some dumbass was drive 60mph on a city street. A good friend of mine, his sister was killed at the stop sign in their neighborhood.

If OP’s daughter is hit on the interstate it probably wouldn’t be her fault

F that. Teach her how to drive before she freaks out and causes an accident. Her friends will get her on that interstate. You better at least try and train her. Are you freaking kidding me man?!?!?!

what the frick do you think he’s trying to do by asking the best route??

Have you even driven on the interstate in Baton Rouge? It’s a fricking shite show.

If they live in Metairie, what’s the point of getting on the interstate to get somewhere? It’s not Baton Rouge where the interstate is the fastest route.

Its driving 101 you idiot. The driving test even makes you drive on the interstate so you know how it is. This is unbelievable. So you want her to train by going out on the interstate with her college friends as a test trial by fire. Get the F outta here..yall are doing a disservice to your daughter and the people on the interstate

Driving on the interstate in Baton Rouge isn’t bad at all. There are no big loops or turn offs like Houston. New Orleans has more of that going on than BR. And driving on the BR interstate goes one of two ways: comfortably 65 mph the whole time, or 5mph the whole time because you’re stuck in traffic

It’s I-12 you have to watch out for. The stretch of interstate between BR and Livingston might as well be a drag race.

You must also be guilty of having children too scared to drive on the interstate. Do better parents. Do better.

For life experience knowing that she'll have to do it in the future. My parents had me cooking, washing clothes, and everything else I needed to learn to be independent a full year before I went to college.

that’s not the driving test

One of my kids went to that school, too. Luckily before they abruptly closed after stealing a lot of people’s money.

I didn’t even go to driving school bc I didn’t drive until I was 18, and all that was needed in 1998 was a driving test at the dmv - which went around the block

Too bad you can’t go to a school to get a better attitude

If she takes Highland, which would be the easiest, tell her to drive very carefully. No phone at all as it is a narrow road with no shoulder. If she’s attentive, she’ll be fine.

Exit to the right off of I-10 at the Highland Road exit, turn left at the light and go straight from there

Highland Road takes you directly to the south gates of LSU and on through campus to the north gates of LSU.

I'll wave to you as you drive by my house...

my kids have been doing that since they were about 12

Can’t drive at 12, and all of my driving kids have interstate experience- we live in Baton Rouge now, can’t avoid it

But there’s no reason for some dumbass alter to tell a total stranger he’s failed at parenting bc his child has never driven on the interstate. It’s not necessary in Metairie.

Chances are if there is a wreck on the interstate in Baton Rouge it won’t be OP’s daughter- itll be an Altima or a small dicked ford truck driver
