I live in Central and I was one of the few that didn't get any water in my house. I work in downtown BR and I take Hooper Rd to work. Making that drive is so depressing...from Blackwater all the way to Sullivan. It's just something about the debris piles in entire neighborhoods that just does something to you. I can only imagine what it looks like in Denham.

Watching the people on my way home still cleaning and removing debris makes me sad. I feel for them. It could have easily been me.

There are a few areas I've been to that have been extremely sad to see. Going south on George O'Neal a couple of miles and you can enter multiple neighborhoods with entire houses, condos, etc gutted. It's just massive piles connecting to be a string of one pile. One of my friends lives in Watson and same thing. They all got 5-7 feet of water and lost everything but his truck since they barely got out in time. Really sad. I feel so fortunate to live in LP and not get a lick of damage. Helping out makes me feel less guilty.

Denham looks like s war zone. Driving fown 190 everyday is very disturbing. And some of the neighborhoods just choke me up. Went through Greystone yesterday afternoon and the is debris everywhere. Mother Nature shows NO MERCY rich or poor.......

Just got home to Youngsville yesterday, it's terrible seeing so many families' belongings strewn across their front yards.

I was out in two neighborhoods in Denham last week where it appeared every house had flooded. You could barely drive through due to the size of the trash piles. It was really sad to see.

Maybe it's because I'm living it but I don't find it to be too depressing. Looks like shite that is burying opportunity, you just have to wade through it and push ahead.

I live off of Oneal and my neighborhood, including my house, looks like shite. You can barely see any of the houses due to the trash piles on the curb. On the bright side, I was able to get rid of some of the furniture I hated.

One effect this has had on me is making me want to have less stuff in general.
It loses its meaning.

Sheetrock in particular can suck it.

Y'all should come check out my pile. It's 70% cargo shorts, cartons of cheap cigarettes, cases of high life, and tattoo equipment.
