Traffic on the interstate and a client meeting had me take Florida to downtown. It’s like the closer I got to Downtown the more depressing it became. People sleeping on the street, trash, dilapidated buildings, graffiti. Just people walking around aimlessly, most in the street.

Shout out to my dude who lives under the overhang of the building on the corner of 19th and Florida

Dude has been living there like 5 years now.

The interstate did it in by attracting chain store and big box businesses away from the small privately owned shops. Florida was definitely better years ago.

It's hard to really "fix" an area that has multiple homeless shelters, railroad tracks, and a bus station.
