Is downtown Orlando safe? Planning a trip to Orlando and wondering if it is safe or not. I have heard mixed reviews. It looks like a massive downtown area and trying to figure out which part to stay at

I’ve heard good things about The Grand Bohemian Hotel.

like most sizable cities, there are some nice areas and there are some areas downtown that are as bad as any big city

Downtown proper isn't too bad...when you get close to Camping World/Amway Center and that area it's a little sketchy but it's gotten better.

Learn how to write a subject.

The subject should be "Is downtown Orlando Safe?" Not "Downtown Orlando."

It's fine. Just don't go anywhere near the Citrus Bowl. It's kind of ghetto, but not like North BR ghetto. More like Florida Blvd at N. Sherwood ghetto. In fact, if you've walked the streets of NOLA or BR then you'll quickly notice you're harder than any of the motherfrickers over there.

Keep your valuables on lock. We were tailgating for the capital one bowl in the rain one year with about 15-20 people in our crew. And some crackhead belly crawled through the mud underneath my buddy’s truck and stole and ice chest full of beer without any of us noticing. We did have plenty more beer. Even though it was annoying, it was also kind of impressive.

Dowtown is nice with a quite residential feel to it. Don't go west of I-4. Nothing over there worth seeing/doing and it is a little ghetto.
