you can download their COR
it's a master-class...
they are requesting a signed COR NLT 09/17 in order to proceed with repairs
Please translate for those of us that didn't graduate in Construction Management. Seriously, that is just a bunch of letters to me.

Because EBRPL has more money than they know what to do with and their taxes keep getting renewed.
This, totally. They are aided and abetted by an election system that allows these multiple little election days with just one or two tax renewals on it. They get a less than 10percent turnout but the library has all their employees, suppliers, and families vote. It passes every time. And nobody is the wiser.

Let us not forget that the vast majority of people being bussed to the polls to vote on these Property Tax renewals don't own any damn property.
It is seriously fricked up that non-property owners get to vote to put additional taxes on my property.

change order request...
the GC submits a COR to the contract administrator (in this case, the architect) detailing the cost and time required to deliver the changes in scope requested, as well as costs incurred during the investigation and subsequent delay

What a horrible investment this was from the start. Nobody even rents books anymore.
You're an idiot.

A lot of meetings. Catered meetings. Madame Mayah is getting right on that.

The Guinness Book of World Records called. They said this is the fastest construction project in Louisiana history.

Lol it sure as frick is when it goes on a PL insurance claim
Posted on 9/6/18 at 7:12 pm to jamboybarry
FWIW, the city's minimum PL insurance for consultants to do business is... $2M.
Although these companies might all carry a lot more, I dunno.

I think Gissel is probably on top of all this.
It seems obvious that the government should not be on the hook for a major structural flaw but I can see why it would raise flags that the article didn't mention who would pay for it. I can only speculate that it's because there's a dispute as to which contractor/insurance company is responsible for paying for it and how much.
They may be high-balling the amount in their PR releases as part of a negotiation tactic.

Somebody did something wrong. It was not the taxpayers.

All this for a hideous library design.
