It's not about current production baw. It's about what we're going to need in the near future. Demand will outstrip supply. Oil producers are being very cautious about large expenditures.
Don't forget the bottleneck with refineries. Buy some VLO stock.

Sounds like a solid plan. Maybe do a refinance on your house at 8.5% for 30 years and just roll your car notes, etc into this and get a lower note.
I once knew a guy who did this. He thought he was pretty smart.

It wasn't for lack of trying. His eco-nut squad wants to ban fracking in the Permian Basin. That's about 40% of our oil production.
