SOMERVILLE -- Police are questioning a Tufts University student as a “person of interest” in the overnight stabbing of two Boston men at a fraternity, which triggered a temporary campus lockdown Sunday morning.

The person has not been arrested in the attack, which occurred shortly before 4 a.m. inside the Delta Tau Delta house.

Police arrived to find two men, 20 and 19, stabbed in the neck inside the fraternity. Both were taken to Massachusetts General Hospital.

The 20-year-old remains in serious condition after undergoing surgery, police said. The 19-year-old has been released from the hospital. The victims are not affiliated with the university.

Police said the victims apparently knew their attacker. Six Tufts students are currently living at the house, and three of them were home at the time of the attack, police said.

Police provided no other details about the attack, which comes two weeks after graduation. No arrests have been made.

The house is at 98 Professors Row, a road that runs through the Tufts campus.

Campus police said they have not many problems with the fraternity, which students said has a reputation for being well-behaved.
