Monday at the Town Square in Baton Rouge at 5:00pm, DOTD will be hosting an input meeting with local residents regarding ideas in the area. The NIMBY's of the overpass area will surely be out in full force. What's more important, a strip of outstanding bar

No one will be able to get there at 5 because the traffic on the bridge is OOC

I sense another study coming our way.

Pardon my ignorance, but how is the overpass related to this? Are they considering widening the interstate there? I thought the big cry was to relocate or eliminate the Washington entrance.

The Washington street exit is only a first step. Yes the addition of extra lanes from bridge on is a logical bigger help and would effect residents and businesses especially around the overpass.

The first item on the agenda is a proposal to choke I-10 Westbound to one lane of through traffic before the Mississippi River Bridge to match the Eastbound layout.
