I’m paying plenty attention, just commenting on government street. The entire city will be a shite show once that project starts.

A month back a few lanes of 12 were shut down due to a wreck at rush hour and it shut down half the city. Tara Blvd was even backed all the way up in both directions. That was just a taste of that it’s going to be like around here.

“Worst run agency in the state” is an accomplishment given some of the agencies in this state.

DCFS probably has that dishonor due to the fentanyl deaths of kids who weren’t taken away from mothers who had previous issues with their kids ODing.

Brings back memories of post-Katrina BR.

Holiday level traffic every rush hour for months.

Where is this? I went to the open house last night and didn't see anywhere that was going down to one lane. Two and two was the most congested part that I could see not counting the existing cluster already coming off the bridge.

You clearly don't work with the DOT. It's the worse run agency in the state and the next Governor should dismantle the entire thing and start over.

DOT is federal, but I'm guessing you mean DOTD. It isn't the worst run by a long shot, unfortunately.

Any length of that sor tof bottleneck will completely frick traffic beyond belief.

It was impressive how DOTD tried to spin that as a fake news and tried to have their gotcha moment by saying it was only gonna be for a quarter of a mile. They cried about disinformation while confirming what people were saying.

Yeah, that is standard weasel crap.

“Is the president 100 feet tall?”

“No, where would you get such a ridiculous story?”

“Is the president 90 feet tall?”

BR traffic is going to be night mare for next 10 years till then finish it.

The longer it goes, the more money everyone makes. The more we suffer

Cool. All I'm saying is I think Government street is going to be hit worst of all due to the traffic calming they just put in. It's going to be very bad news for businesses up and down GOvernment. Just when things are booming.

Never forget it took only 16 months to build the pentagon. 20 months if you back it up to the congressional hearing directing the War Department to build it. The world's largest fricking office building with 6.5 million square feet of space. 16 months. In 1941-43. This country is capable of great things if we can just get out of our own damn way.

The 90 degree turn is on 415 which is the beginning of the widen project.

You're reaching real far to include this complaint in your troll. Might as well include all widening projects on I-10 and I-12 across the state if you're going that route.

“Environmental impact statements” and other “studies” required to build have become weaponized against development rather than preventing major issues they were supposed to prevent.

I had to dig around to find this updated graphic on their page. What does "I-10 mainline" mean?

They've moved all the widening project details to it's own website, i10br.com. I think mainline is the stretch after the 10/110 merge to Acadian, but I'm not sure.

It wouldn't matter if Government had eight lanes. This will be a colossal pain in the arse for the region for four years.

As opposed to now where the traffic flows freely and everyone is nice and happy. Not like it backs up past Grosse Tete.

It's this kind of selfish thinking that has us in this situation. That one-lane curve off the bridge needed to be fixed 20 years ago but no one wants to be inconvenienced. Elected officials were scared to do anything that would have the voters put out -- even if it means greater good for the state for the next 25 years.

Just fix the I-10 in BR. Finally, they are addressing it.

The information I shared above is from i10br.com website. I linked it for you.

I figured you were on DOTDs website. The "digging" part threw me off. I didn't find it very hard to find.

quote:

I am worried that they're still playing with words saying "two lanes open on I-10 . . . . mainline"

It says a minimum of two lanes each direction on I-10 mainline. The only way is see them playing with words is if they mean a minimum of 2 lanes closed when I think it is assumed that they are keeping at least to lanes open each way.
