Dims was in Plaquemine on RR Ave.

Did they have another location in D'ville?

You're mistaken. It was RR Ave in Donaldsonville.

Hmm. Different families then I suppose. The one on RR Ave in Donaldsonville was Dimm's (two m's) and didn't last much longer after Mr. Roy Dimm passed away in 2004.

One M or two.

He had sons who help him run it.
Ronnie Dimm I think was his name.

Crusing the Avenue was the weekend event during the late 80's and early 90's. Always fights behind the Chance with Dville fighting Partians or folks from Plaquemine.

Don't forgot about listening to Louisiana or XCLR8 playing at Tony's and Dims was the best.

Were you cruisin the avenue when Tony's was that little converted gas station on Mississippi St., before they built the larger building across the highway from White's Auto?

It was next to Lees Chinese Inn on Hwy 1 across from Pizza Hut and onside of Legends. It became Tipps later on after Tony's.

That sounds right about Dimms being in Donaldsonville. It was definitely in Donaldsonville because I remember going after mass on Sunday. It wasn't far from Ascension Church (where my parents were married).

Yeah that was the "new Tony's" before it moved. before they moved it was next to the building materials place but on the corner of Mississippi St. and St. Patrick. Building is still standing but i don't know what it's used for now. there is a empty lot across the street. It was one block from the Church.

Place is a crap hole. Back in its hey day it had great history and charm. Now it's a complete crap hole. Crack houses galore.
