There's a Dollar General on the way to our lake house in the middle of freaking no where.
Avoided it for the longest time, then decided to swing in one day. It's freaking great.
Yep. My mom has a place down on the beach in TX, before a Dollar General opened up the gas station was the only place for miles to get groceries, and they had a really small selection.

The little towns DG typically targets need them.
I buy a lot of dog food, cat food, deodorant, milk, etc. from DG...and I aint ashamed to admit it.

Ever notice if There is a Dollar General, there is often a Family Dollar really close by.
The one I like is Dollar Tree, everything is a dollar.

A lot of people talk about DG being trashy / in the hood, but really, their growth market is small / rural areas.
It's a big box. It's cheap to build and easy to replicate.

They are putting them where there is nothing for 30 miles. It is literally bringing people out of the woodwork.
I have family that lives right off the Mississippi River in Gunnison. It’s a 30+ minute drive to the nearest....ANYTHING.
A Dollar General popped up out there in the middle of absolutely nowhere and it stays busy.
