The title of the film is "racism explained," but I'm not really sure what it is explaining, if the majority of all kids are saying the same things.

I am sure this board will spin this as liberal media spreading white guilt but it makes perfect sense given that many of those kids grandparents were alive during segregation.

Those kids likely got brendan dassey'ed though

It is definitely not explaining racism. It is explaining that even kids can see patterns in culture and behaviors of different races. Children are the most honest people on the planet because they are so naive. All of these children were not raised to be little racists.

This is true stuff. But some of this may be explained that kids are also socialized to view people in black as villains (bad), which is not racist. I know some of you don't like to hear that racism exists. But of course racism partially explains it as well. Even blacks are racists against other blacks. Google "brown paper bag test"

I personally think this is just kids being intuitive and knowing what the interviewers want them to say. Kids want to give the "right" answer and this study only had one right answer if it was going to public.

Good god. If you don't think that both whites and black unconsciously or without knowing it, instill certain views about race color, even at a minute level, you are out to lunch.

This study has been repeated several times, even without interviewers seen by the kids, and the results are the same.

Of course people do this. I don't need a slanted study to show this to me like it's some kind of shocking revelation.

Which doll is the naughty doll? An adult would say frick you, what kind of question is that? It's an entrapping question. Did they honestly expect it to be random?

I loved the one girl that said neither. Future outside the box thinker and quick on her feet. However, most kids are going to choose one or the other and go with what they think the interviewer wants to hear.

You can not defeat nature, and nature is racist. Even if most people don't like it.

well, even when the premise of the experiment is replicated and children are asked to give descriptions of the dolls to neutral open ended prompts ("Tell me about the doll", "tell a story about the doll", etc.), the descriptions are different. And you know which one gets more negative descriptions.

This has nothing to do with anything that I said. Please quit trying to shove your narrow minded views down our throats. We get it, we know where you stand on these issues.

Exactly. The kids intuitively pick up the loaded questioning, but the only way they know to react is to answer they way the think the interviewer wants them to.

More of a study on psychology of persuasion and mind manipulation. Innocent people confess to murder based on this type of psychology.
