Such UTTER bullshite that the DOJ sits on cases like this and then quietly announces on a Tuesday that the police officers didn't actually do a damn thing wrong. Then they use doublespeak "we can't prove charges beyond a reasonable doubt" to imply maybe something did happen when it didn't.

These officers lives were fricked by an incompetent racist mayor and DA and then the US Government. All for doing their jobs.

The Justice Department announced Tuesday that it will not prosecute six Baltimore police officers in the 2015 death of Freddie Gray.

In a statement, the DOJ said it found "insufficient evidence to support federal criminal civil rights charges" against the officers.

"After an extensive review of this tragic event, conducted by career prosecutors and investigators, the Justice Department concluded that the evidence is insufficient to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Officer Caesar Goodson, Officer William Porter, Officer Garrett Miller, Officer Edward Nero, Lieutenant Brian Rice, or Sergeant Alicia White willfully violated Gray's civil rights," a DOJ statement said."

Yeah. Over two years was totally fair to leave the officers hanging. Gotcha there big fella.

Weren't some of the cops black? And some already acquitted in state court?

So much white supremacy.

This wasn't some cut and dry self defense shoot on video, a guy's neck was broken while he was in police custody. No matter where you are on the polictical spectrum, you think that shouldn't warrant a full and thorough investigation?

About time these police officers were exonerated.

Wasn't it also true that Freddie Gray was known for trying to injure himself to sue the city? Seems like a no-brainer on this case.

Yes but there were already trials in state court. This doesn't take two years to investigate.

Fair enough, but if I'm one of those cops and I realize I'm under federal investigation, I want them to take their time, do the process by the books, and get it right. Again, it's not like there was video of a self defense shoot, and having someone in custody die of a broken neck looks really, really bad.

I guess I just don't understand why the OP is indignant when the legal process worked.
