Yeah a regular ball. My 7 yo 67 lbs English bulldog still loves regular arse tennis balls.
If your dog is "destructive" to toys get a West Paws toy. My girl teats up everything but it takes her a bit to tear up stuff from West Paws.

I found some clear guards that sit on the floor under the couch
Blocked off all access, I swear my dog was purposefully pushing them under to make me get up & get them for her

Take two old tube socks, tie them together in a knot. Your dog will love it as much, if not more than any toy you buy at the store.
