Yeah, I'd imagine it would be difficult to operate a fast-food franchise in Juneau. Not a lot of commuter traffic and supplies must be hard to come by. Does a Big Mac cost the same there as it does here in the lower 48?

None not even a McDonalds?
No. Have to go one town over for McDonalds. Lots of restaurants, pizza places, sandwich places but no fast food.
ETA: we do have a Starbucks

I grew up in an East Texas town of about 2000 people. All we had was a Dairy Queen. They now have a McDonald’s and Burger King, but their both in gas stations.

I'm surprised a town that size doesn't at least have a small Dairy Queen and Subway. Here in Georgia many one or two stop light towns will have that

My town is roughly the same population. We have 2 McDonald's 2 Burger Kings, 2 Popeyes, 2 Taco Bells,3 Subways, an Arbys,a Wendys, a KFC, and a local fastfood restaurant similar to canes. Some may technically be out of town but you can drive by all of them in a period of 10 or 15 minutes.

Population around 200k and from a map search there has to be 100 of them.

if it doesn't have a DQ, is it really a town?

Our little town of 6,000 SW of Fort Worth has a DQ, a Whataburger and a McDonalds.
