Does weather affect people's decision making? Let's say someone has to make a decision about something and everyone is sure that person will make a certain decision, especially because they mentioned to someone, several days earlier, it is the most practical decision.. But then the day comes, it is a gloomy raining day.. The person makes a decision no one expected.

Do you think weather could play a factor in that person's decision? This is hypothetical, but weather does set a mood right? And someone can make a decision, one way or the other, based on their mood. Agree or disagree?

Weather may play a factor in someone's mood, which then could play a factor in decision making.

I guess it could.

In the construction industry it absolutely does

I think it depends on the context of the decision.

Of course if I had planned on going fishing today but the weather was shitty I decided not to.

I also decided not to drive 80 mph on the wet roads because I didn't want to wreck

The weather may play a part in what I eat or drink tonight

But the weather didnt affect any business decisions I made today. That's just dumb to think that it would.

Absolutely it does. Anyone who says otherwise is dead wrong.

Doesn't mean you change you decision necessarily.

Not major decisions that involve planning. But on a day like today, the lack of daylight affects your energy level and you might not perform as well on minor, snap decisions.

Are you sure? I am not saying it did, but you don't think it is at all possible?

Yes it does... A gloomy day makes for gloomy people....

A sunny day can be A very great day for most...

Bad weather can indirectly relate to lower crime rates.

It doesn't affect decision making; however, it does affect lovemaking.
