You made the right decision. You won't regret it. Amazing opportunities in Texas. Plus they have tort reform and a super friendly business climate. Fortune 500 Corporations recognize that and are setting up shop in the "Golden" Triangle.

God Bless Texas with His own hand.........

Living in Houston seems like 1/2 the population is from Louisiana. Most if not all say the same thing they will never move back to Louisiana. Better paying jobs, cheaper cost of living, better schools and infrastructure.

The staggering statistic is 10% of all people born in Louisiana moved to Texas.

Which is the same of most any major city...

In 2016 Austin public schools are ranked 3rd best in the nation, and Dallas was 9th.

That said, we’re in the suburbs and our kid goes to a charter school because we like the curriculum and teaching philosophy.

Luckily I think many of the Californians moving to Texas are the conservatives who are fed up with California.

Yep, top end executive in Nola where I can live on St. Charles Ave, send my girls to ASH, have a membership at Meterie or New Orleans Country Club, and be invited to join Comus. Yep, those types of jobs are just all over the place. They're practically giving them away.
