July sucks. There are not many tourist chicks visiting the caribbean and half the good restaurants are closed. The only good thing about this month is the scuba diving is cheaper than during tourist season. The weather in the caribbean doesn't change so thats not a big deal.

I prefer August. MLB gets slightly more meaningful, football gets closer, soccer returns, fall beers start arriving (ridiculous, but just how it is).
But yes, July/Aug are the two worst months of the year IMO, along with February.

I just finished a Southern Caribbean cruise. It was much cooler than it is in Central Florida.

at least you typically start to see some dry air moving in late in august...july and early august just suck balls...
