I used to take ibuprofen daily back when I actively played sports. Not sure if possible but I think I built a tolerance.
These days Mobic (Meloxicam) or Aleve (Naproxen) are where it's at.

I've been popping about 8 ibuprofens a night for probably 6 years now, no tolerance yet

Ibuprofen works okay on me. For some reason, only BC Powder gives me the best relief.

They manufacturer probably did the full testing protocol for a certain length of time. Setting an expiration date longer than the test length would expose them to ambulance chasers.

i go through advil pretty decent at my house, this was a bottle i have at my office that evidently i don't go through fast enough. One of them Sams big arse bottles.

Not really. You're probably good for a couple of years after expiration. After that, I'd just pay $6 for 500 more at Sam's and start over.
I like the Tylenol Rapid Release tabs for headaches. But for muscle aches I go Ibuprofen.
The GOAT is Goody's powder though. I keep those in my desk at work when I need a headache to go away fast.

Pills don't expire. They just get weaker.
