I only remember when it used to be called Texas A&I.

Where I work now they just want me to get a Master’s, they don’t care what it’s in or where it’s from.
What exactly do you do? Not that it is completely unheard of but I don't know too many industries that will reward you for having a random Masters just for the sake of having one.

Spent several days there about four years ago for accreditation purposes. It is solid academically, and the culture seemed student-oriented. If the curriculum aligns with your goals, I think you will enjoy the program.

My cousin is a professor there
I have west TX for work territory and go there monthly. It has a unique charm to it
Plenty of weekend trips within a few hours.

Went to a game there when I was 5. They had a buffalo on the field pregame.
Every wrestler ever played football there.

It's where all the teachers are produced in the Panhandle.

That was Texas A&M Kingsville. WTAMU was West Texas State.
From somebody who graduated from Angelo State, a fellow Lone Star Conference school in West Texas , it’s the equivalent of McNeese or Nichols to LA schools. They’re not as prestigious as the bigger names but they’re not JCs. Probably have a few good programs in particular and average for the rest.
I.e. nobody is going to see a WTAMU degree and have a negative impression. Probably not anything overly positive, but nothing wrong with it.
