Hell I’ve cut back. Used to drink 2-3 liters of bourbon a weekend without eating and do about an 8 ball of coke

Yea you need to get down to 1/4 of that per weekend AND add some moderate exercise on Sunday morning to help get metabolism back up and running. Little booze and blow ain't ever hurt anyone unless you're Len Bias.
A lot of booze and anything else however, will

You got this, buddy.

Kidney stones....

No joke. Go to urologist and get them treated before it gets worse.

Kidney Stone. I have very similar symptoms when I get one. You can feel them coming once you’ve had a couple, but those first couple times, you think you’re going to die.

Kidney Stone.

I'm not so sure. Unless it's 2 different bouts of kidney stones. The pain wouldn't go away until he drank alcohol again. Unless he passed it the next day, and another one came back.

I'm thinking some other kidney related problem.

There's 17 shots in a fifth of bourbon. If he did a full fifth (he didn't) twice a week, he'd be hungover as frick twice a week.

My un-professional opinion:

30% kidney stone/70% some other kidney issue.

And likely drinks half as much as he claims.

Sounds more like Dietl’s crisis to me rather than a kidney stone if the pain is only after drinking a large amount of liquids/diuretics

Would get it checked out with either a ct scan or Renal ultrasound.

unless you are almost 8 feet tall, you are fat. Quit lying to yourself.
