My bro is a Dr and refuses to give out addictive painkillers. He's had a few uncomfortable run-ins with folks due to his stance against pills, so now he carries a 9mm Sig under his white coat.

And that is a shame for him to have to do that.

My daughter used to work for my Dr and he would ask if they were CC and if they were he would ask them to carry in the office in case some pill head decided to go psycho.

The husband was addicted and taking wifey's meds. Another tragedy claiming two lives in the opiate epidemic.

With the new DEA and state regulations on how many tablets they can give to each chronic pain patient, we know it's only a matter of time before pharmacies start to get robbed during business hours instead of them trying to break in to safes after hours while the alarm is going off.
It's ridiculous that I have to carry a pistol while at work but I feel bad for the big chain pharmacists who if robbed have zero chance of defending themselves.

If the DR didn't want that life he shouldn't have been dealing drugs. Drs and big pharma are to blame for this epidemic.
So you accept victim blaming as a defense in rape cases, too???

I'd love to hear stories from ER docs about people that come in looking for opiates. I bet they see some shite. Please share some of your stories....
Spoiler alert: everyone has "pancreatitis".

My wife cut off a bitch two days ago. She's new, it was her first cutoff. Then she called all the other providers in the area to put the bitch on bolo.

This dude puts his wife on one hell of a pedestal. Killed the doctor and himself because she didn't get her way? Damn.
Pills were probably for him or both of them.

Yeah....not supposed to do that. Seriously. Just like a pharmacy isn't allowed to let a doctors office know if someone is going to another doctor. Violates their pt privacy.

She a vet?

Pet owners use their pets to get pain meds. When the vet realizes what is going on... they have a responsibility to take certain actions. DEA sanctioned step by step process... ignore it, or turn a blind eye, lose the license you spent 8 years and 200k to get.

Hold up, man. I have so many questions...
1) There are opiod pain medicines for animals?
2) They work?
3) People bring their dog to your wife and say he's hurt so they can get the animal opiods?

Yeah, and sometimes they intentionally hurt their dog to make it more convincing. But then they realize the vet is going to charge a bunch for the treatment of the injury, not just hand out pills, and they realize in the end it's easier and cheaper to get it on the streets.

So what did this lady do today that tipped off your wife?

Came in for 1000th tramadol refill for pain that dr could find no evidence of in the dog. The previous dr that had been seeing this client no longer works there.
