Do you use Mrs ever or do you always default to Ms

I had a business teacher tell me once to always use Ms to begin letters. Thought about it and it made sense, you don’t always know whether a woman is married or not and it seemed weird to base how I greet her based on her marital status so I’ve always defaulted to Ms ever sense.

"Ms." is intended to mean either Miss or Mrs.

When you get married would you still want to go by Ms or would you prefer Mrs (assuming the person writing knows that you are married)?
