No. Don't want to come home to a dead yard.

Our watering system has a separate meter and service entrance.

I do now. But Ive also come back to water in the house. It’s a lesson I only needed to learn once. No one is using the water in the house if we are gone.

I have that thought too, but haven't done it for a vacation. I did it once for a hurricane evacuation.

So now my ocd will kick in next vacation. If I turn it off at the house should I run the water to drain the lines? What about the 70 gallons in the water heater?

I have the same question...Cutting it off to the house is simple enough, but do I need to do anything to the gas water heater, and should I also open the faucets and drain the system?
