If you charter a flight then yes, it's customary to tip $50 minimum.

I have never in my life seen anyone tip a commercial airline pilot.

I do always attempt to look in the eyes & thank the flight crew following each flight as I deplane, boss.
Doubtful many/any care but I was raised to show appreciation for folks who take care of me.
