There were several thousand MIA/POW from Vietnam so yeah I bet a handful probably lived. Doubt any of those were real prisoners though. Then baws are long gone.

Let me tell you something, if there are ever any American POW's left behind after wars end, this man will find them and he will bring them home. In doing so, he will fricking massacre hundreds of enemy guards and defeat the camp commander with pure, straight forward kar-a-te.

He's 3-3 and nobody has tested him since.

"Supposedly" John McCain was aware of POW's left behind and did nothing to help. "Supposedly" this is why he has had a contentious - at times - relationship with the POW/MIA community.

I've Watched several shows about the efforts to repatriate remains. The programs note lots of the mia files from Laos were of airmen who were lost on close bombing runs where there was no chance to eject. The planes got hit on bomb runs in dives near the ground. There has been considerable effort made to find remains at these sites since relations have normalized and many cases have involved only bone fragments being recovered and idintified via DNA. As a side note regarding us airmen shot down in the Vietnam war the dieter dengler story is incredible.
