Yes, it applies to yor comments.
The first part there is no way that it had anything to do with what I said, and the second part only had something to do with it is if you are saying that they deserved to die and thus are saying that killing children is a good.

And bull shite. This is just a cop out argument saying that I don't have to support what I say. "That's just like your opinion, man."

When did Japan's version of a president come to the US for memorial day weekend and say that attacking Pearl Harbor was evil, and that they were sorry?

Evil? What is "evil" in war? If it was evil to drop the bombs it would have been evil to not drop the bombs. It stopped the killing. That's always a good thing .... especially for the winning side.
We have not won very much since then and there have been tools available that politicians won't let the military use just sitting on the shelfs.

Some of the garbage you say on here is borderline treasonous.

Additionally, diary entries by then-Secretary of War Henry Stimson reveal that he had a meeting with Roosevelt just ten days before the attack in which FDR pondered how to maneuver the Japanese into firing the first shot. Years later, Stimson revealed that the commanders at Pearl Harbor had been warned of the possibility of attack, and that he was surprised at how unprepared they were.

Collateral damage. Common back then. Why does children's lives matter any more than grownups ... especially from a country that would legalize abortion.?

Would've never happened had the Empire of Japan not decided to bomb Pearl Harbor so no, not evil.

US knew an attack was likely somewhere and were actively searching for japanese warships

I wasnt suggesting that i believed it to be a necessary evil.
I was arguing against the people who seem to believe it necessary, and assume that is enough to exclude it from being evil.

I am not saying its an excuse. As an American I would never defend an attack on us, but they were somewhat provoked. FDR cut off the oil supply to Japan and I think there was some expectation of a retaliation because of it, but not to that degree.
Before Pearl Harbor, popular opinion for the US to get involved in WWII did not favor us getting involved. I am not saying FDR might have tried to find a reason to sway public opinion, but there is an argument to be made.
We benefited greatly from WWII. It ended the great depression and we became the big boy on the block. Was that by accident?
Public opinion is powerful, but its not always the correct way to do things.

No concern was given for babies at Pearl Harbor. Why would anyone worry about babies these bombs would kill? What about the babies that would die due to regular bombs if the war continued?
