My money says he’s guilty.

... I did think the gal’s boyfriend was a little suspect tho.

No. He killed that gal.

Prosecutors and sheriff are sleazeballs, though.

I am sure the jury all had previous knowledge of Avery.

I don’t know about Steve. His nephew probably didn’t do anything. He just wanted to get home to watch wrestling so the cops fed him their story

Do I think there has been enough legitimate, untainted evidence to convict him?

Hell no.

This.

The biggest evidence FOR his case, IMHO, is the car key that was 'found' the 2nd or 3rd time his home was searched.

There is no way that was the key she used every day. That key was pristine-looking. I am certain it was her spare key.

How can I be so sure? It was on a lanyard BY ITSELF. No house key. No key to the office. No key to mom's house. No key to a bike lock or anything else people, especially women, always have on their keychains.

It was planted.

I only watched the first series so don't know what may be new in the second.

Saying that, the cops/DA were shady as frick and that alone should have gotten the case tossed out. Hell, they railroaded him once and were pissed when they got called on it. (They sound like typical small town WI law enforcement)

Second, I don't think Avery is smart enough to have done it.

Dassey being imprisoned is a travesty.

No, but the state did not prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt.

Also, in a room where she was supposedly tied up, tortured, raped and stabbed, there wasn't so much as one of her hairs found in his home.

I promise that if I so much as walk through your front door, you can find evidence of my presence if you look hard enough. That girl never set foot inside his home.
