It’s like asking will prostitution be legal at the federal level
Is prostitution illegal at the federal level? I honestly don't know.
I thought the laws against it were all local.

Maybe Mr..Doge420 will decide that marijuana enforcement is inefficient use of tax dollars.
I think the FBI has already come to that conclusion on their own.
When was the last time someone was prosecuted under federal law for production, transportation or consumption of pot?
Unless it is being smuggled in from outside the country, they no longer give a shite.

It actually blows my mind that some people are anti-weed but get shite housed on alcohol twice a week
It shouldn’t.
For generations, we’ve been programmed at a societal level to accept a moderate level of alcohol consumption, even to the point where it’s expected in certain situations.
During that time period, the opposite has happened with weed.
The poster who said we’re about a half generation behind is directionally correct IMO. I think it’ll probably take a full generation. Changing societal-level norms is like turning a battleship. It’s going to take a lot of time and it doesn’t help that at least some of the negatives that were preached about weed for decades are still true today.

How do L.E. agents and the rest of the legal system sort out liability in those who use irresponsibly after it is fully legal, unless there is timeline-specific, accurate testing for car crashes, workplace accidents, etc.?
I don't think we ge legalization until testing is better for DUI of MJ.

Yes it will be. I'd say within the next 10 years or less

If you think those losers are bad let me introduce you to people drinking alcohol recreationally.

Criminally, very rarely it ever. Civil prosecution? Every day whenever a local yokel LEO needs a fundraiser they like pull over random people and steal their property (and often everything in the car, or house) without charges under the guise of crime prevention.
If weed becomes legal federally, all of that disappears as local sheriff's often rely on federal statues for civil asset forfeiture.

Do you think Marijuana will ever be legal at the Federal level?
Yes, as it should be. The least of our worries.

State authorities are prosecuting crimes under federal statutes?
Are the trials held in state court or federal court?

Statistically, close to half your coworkers/employees.

Doesn’t seem right that you can go to Washington DC and buy it and smoke it wherever you want. But the rest of the country can’t do the same? Hell you can put a rolled joint in it’s carrying tube in the tray as you go through metal detector in DC with no issues. Double standard in my opinion. What’s good for DC should be good for rest of country as well.

There's a federal program called equitable sharing where property is seized at the local level, then transferred to federal court, with the local municipality collecting the majority of the proceeds, 80% IIRC.
wikipedia article on equitable sharing
ETA:80%, not 90%

The Washington Post in 2014 analyzed 400 seizures in 17 states which were examples of Equitable sharing arrangements.[6] According to the analysis, police can stop motorists, possibly under the pretext of a minor traffic infraction, and "analyze" the intentions of motorists by assessing nervousness, and request permission to search the vehicle without a warrant, hoping to find cash or other valuables possibly involved in illegal activity.[6] Of the 400 seizures studied by The Washington Post, police did not make any arrests, causing critics to speculate that the seizures were not related to real criminal activity but were symptomatic of corruption

It's amazing how easy it is to get a card.
You call a number. They call back in 20 minutes. Then you are approved. Plus it's free.
Good canna now.

Nobody claims oxy cures anything. Potheads constantly rant about all the cures mj provides. What are they?
