Do you smile in others misfortune?

As I get older, I tend to take more joy in seeing others caught in their transgressions. People who blantenly disregard the law and get caught.

Some say there is no such thing as karma or bad luck but I think it's a result of constant acts of unsafe actions or habits. For example, when someone continually walks under a ladder. Many would say that would be considered bad luck but I think it's a repeated effort of unsafe work habits. They may not knock the ladder over within 100 times of doing it but one day they will because of probability. The more actions they take that are unsafe, the higher chance they have of causing injury.

I myself don't laugh when people die. I do find it funny when people continue to perpetuate the same mistakes over and over again and get caught. People who speed are a big petpeve of mine. I try and obey the speed limit but get mad when People fly bye at 100mph. I may not see that person suffer any kind of consequence for their action but statistically they will get caught and suffer the consequences. Its only a matter of time.

In closing though, If you continually do the right thing, then you May still suffer from the consequences of others but statistically you have a better chance in life to not suffer from bad decisions.The right choice may take time but you may enjoy life much better.

Tldr: don't make stupid decisions and cry when the consequences hit you.
