The youngsters seem intimidated by the guards, gates, and greyhound statues in front of the property.

Well that is racist. I give out candy to any kid that comes to my door, my decorations are kinda scary to some kids so if they can get to the door, they get candy

Normally, but we are taking our 2.5 year old trick or treating for the first time. Also, living in NYC is a bit different experience. We live in a building with 20 floors so no need to leave the building.

Yes. We live in a neighborhood in northern palm beach county that does Halloween up pretty big. Lot of families.

Way to take a tough stand against kids.

I grew up watching Home Improvement and my mother always made a big deal out of holidays. Now as a semi adult, I channel my inner Tim Allen and go all out. We live in a pretty rural area so, people drive out to see the decorations and then we have two parties. One for our friends/family and their kids, and then one adults only. Every year the party grows for the kids it seems and we all pitch in for candy.

Not really. It's just trashy and I won't support it. They come in here with ragged out cars blaring rap music screaming frick from one end of the street to the other. This finally might be the year they get the hint to stop coming around here. Our Homeowner's Assoc sent out a big email about it last year.

If any of y’all refuse to give candy to kids, regardless of if they are residents or not, y’all can eat shite.

Don’t take it out on the kids.

Yep

We also have a lot of people from outside the neighborhood come in to trick or treat.

It's been my experience that "all the little ghetto families" are the only ones that say thank you as well as most of their parents.

I'm sure your property looks scary year round, but for one weekend a year, it's totally fine.

I’d post pictures but I don’t want to make you insecure about your townhome.

No. I lock my gate, turn off all my lights, and release the hounds to patrol my property. I try to create as foreboding and Uninviting an atmosphere as I can.

Leave a bucket and say "take 2". I'm sure some little shite takes it all but I'd rather take my kids than pass out candy. I fill my Yeti with bourbon and coke and walk around the neighborhood with the family for 2 hours

The state says I'm not allowed to.
