Growing up, I never had a problem sleeping. High school/college I started staying up late but once I was asleep, I was good to go. Nowadays, at age 36, my sleep sucks. It’s rare I get a great night’s rest and I find myself more often waking up during the night and having a hard time falling back asleep.

Maybe I should start taking melatonin, I dunno, something. Anybody have any helpful suggestions?

Sleep is one of the few things I excel at. I average around 8 hours per night. Got 10 hours last Friday.

Melatonin does nothing for me, but seems to work for many people… i take herbal supplements that have melatonin in them, but also ingredients like ashwaganda, passionflower L-theanine, GABA, Valerian root and some others i cant think of.. ive also heard CBD gummies work well, but haven’t tried them so cant verify .. i can remember when i was younger, i could just raw dog sleep with me and my eyelids, but no more .

I did.

Hated sleeping, always felt I was missing out on something and I am pretty highly wound.

Alcohol worked, too well.

Melatonin works for me but gives me some wild arse dreams. CBD gummies work too.

Wait until you're in your 40s and you wake up multiple times to piss. It's one of the great joys of life.

Yes, but my schedule changes every week depending on how many games I have each week. I sleep well in the summer when I am going to bed at the same time and waking up at the same time in general.

This and no screens after 8p, I will get into bed and start reading a book and sometimes within a few pages my eyes are super heavy and I pass out otherwise after a chapter I am ready to fall asleep.

I used to be a stomach sleeper and slept like a baby. I'm having a hard time as I get older. I sleep on a couch a lot because it just fits the curve of my back better than most beds.

I did a home sleep study and my doc says I have sleep apnea. The testing apparatus was really intrusive, so I don't think it was a fair study. But, I will probably try a mask at some point.

I hear some people have trouble waking up early because they have more melatonin in their skin

Imagine taking all these chemicals when God gave us all natural beer to help us sleep at night

My sleep is pretty good. I might have 1-2 nights in an entire month where it seems more difficult, but typically I'm a head to the pillow and out for the night kind of guy.

You're right about this. I wake up about every two hours and it sucks. I've been to multiple doctors and they all say my blood levels and kidneys are fine and nothing is wrong with my prostate.
