The amount of research depends on what I am buying. If it is something that I am going to rely on then research the hell out of the item.

Ok, so do they get waterlogged? Is their weight changed in a way that affects their performance? Seriously

I don't buy much "stuff" outside of grocery shopping , so when I want something, I get it that day. I don't care about saving $20.

I'm sometimes bad about making impulse buys. For instance, I got a Nest Learning thermostat because it came with a free Google Home mini. I could have gotten the damn Ecobee3 for $149 and got my own damn mini and still would have spent a $80 less. I don't mind though because I bought it from a friend and he gets good commissions so I shrug it off. The rest of my smart home upgrades have been well planned out though

My mom paid 5.29 for Prairie Farms milk when Kroger milk was 2.39, just out of carelessness, not deliberately.

Yes and they always go out and buy something they know nothing about (tv, computer, etc) then try to impress their friend/family member, who is knowledgeable of those things, with with what they got which ends up being a total piece of shite that they paid way more than they should have with better and cheaper choices available.

Is 20 not a fraction of 25?

My wife will go to 5 different stores for groceries if bread is a nickel cheaper here but milk is a nickel cheaper there, etc.
I’ll shop price on something like a sports car, but if I really want something I’m buying it where it is most convenient, and frick price.
