Y'all know that the begging folks are essentially running a scam on you, right?
The "truly" homeless are mentally ill and cluster around bridges or other places they can get shelter and be (relatively) left alone.
But, the folks working interstate exits and intersections? Not homeless at all. They're working hard at not working. That's it.

I am more inclined to do so if they are handicapped in some way - though I am more likely to give food.

I try to then get screwed over so screw them. Last weekend I went get donuts for the family after church. Was feeling good so got a couple pig-n-the-blankets for a homeless guy outside the shop and coke. Gave it to him. He started to drink the coke. Looked in the bag and threw it on the ground. Screw him.

Well, he IS homeless, so "on the ground" is where he keeps all of his stuff.

People who give to the homeless and brag about it are the worst.
