Not a glancing thought, but really sit in silence and relive old memories. Trying to find the scents, sounds and sights from that file tucked away in your brain somewhere.

Cool spring nights like this, I think of driving to a girl's house that was in my Civics class, windows handcranked down halfway, flipping over the cassette in the deck. I was 16 with a Chevy S-10 and a fresh pack of Marlboro lights. No cell phone to keep checking, no Facebook or Twitter bullshite. I picked her up and we drove to The Galleria in Metairie, then drove to the river and laid in the bed of my truck and listened to the radio til the sun came up. Up until then, it was the best night of my life.

And the next night, she banged your best friend because you couldn't close the deal.

Every year on January 1st or so. Instead of making idiotic resolutions, I look how I grew over the year.

I sure do... I miss the 80's. I was in my 20's and everything was just so cool.. I wish I knew then what I do today back then....I will always remember this chick I got with after my divorce.. She was a widow and just couldn't get enough of a guy 8 years younger than her with a very high sex drive... We fricked like all the time, like 5-6 times a day... She had a lot of money but I never took any of it... She finally gave in to all her friends that said the age difference wasn't good for her... So she made a mistake and we went our separate ways... But it paved the way for me to meet the finest woman I have ever met....

Spring seems to bring more of the awesome memories for some reason. Cruising around with some agenda that usually involved some semi-hot chick or a good time drinking with friends.

Ah you cant live on harping on mistakes youve made, you just learn from them and move on, and plan for the future. Put it in Gods hands and just put forth the effort and he will meet you in the middle.

I think that is common for many. Songs also trigger memories for me as well. I can listen to Lithium on Sirius and hear a song and it instantly makes me think of HS/college days.

Took a girl to Ponchartrain Beach and stopped under the Judge Seeber Bridge afterwards and flingered there with her a bit.

Good times.
