One of my jobs is bartending. My first night on the job, 15 minutes in, my boss asks if I want to take a shot with her. She said "You can bartend stone cold sober but I don't recommend it."

She does say drinking behind the bar is a privilege and not a right, though, so you can't get tossed.

Not on a regular workday.

Sometimes I travel for meetings and possibly then but in moderation.

Golf or fishing, depends on crowd I’m in.

Evening meetings? That’s a roger Houston, go to throttle up.

My job these days is being retired ... so yeah.

But when I was working, especially in the early days, cocktails at lunch were acceptable and sometimes even encouraged during business lunches. So yeah.

In outside sales. Typically doesn’t happen but there have been occasions where on a Friday afternoon/evening a few drinks are shared. Depends on the environment and if the customer initiates. But, never during a lunch.
