And you as well. I'll beat you over your head (holding that tunnel vision opinion) with your own kid. Not really, but don't be such a wuss.

I think I see why you were spanked so much as a child.

It's crazy that any dissenting opinion gets this kind of response on here. Hopefully you're not as hard on your own kid.

I was just doing to you what you have been doing this entire thread which is making stupid and baseless assumptions.

Anytime you have to beat/whip/spank a child it is child abuse. There is no reason to ever have to do it if you have done a good job as a parent from day 1.

Sounds like you called out a bunch of people to me

Not true at all. I did state my opinion and then clarified it. And then I was attacked by a dipshit, so I fired back. And now you are knighting for him. Congrats.

I had a teacher in the 9th grade who chased a kid around the room whipping his arse with an extension cord. We all just laughed. No cops, CPS or drama. Back to the Civics lesson.

We'll just have to agree to disagree, but this is definitely over the line. We got our asses whipped with a paddle in school, and it wouldn't hurt for them to start this practice back.

I never said that. I'm an angry son of a bitch. But I don't take it out on my family. Just anonymous trolls on the internet.

Sorry to hear that. You experienced a childhood of violence and abuse. It might be hard for you to be objective when any type of physical punishment is discussed. Understandable. I was only whipped less than a handful of times by my dad and it was scheduled. I would have to go to my room for an hour and he would come in with the "I love you and this will hurt me to do as much as it hurts you" speech. Same way I have physically punished my 4 kids the few times that I have gone that route. My two older daughters are at the top of there class academically. The oldest, a sophomore, is going to college for pre-med in two years and is the first HOSSA member at her school to be chosen for State officer position at the State convention three weeks ago. She is flying with me to California in June for the National convention. She has done this at a top 5 school system in the State. Beta Club, varsity cheer, track and field and dance,etc..

The next two, eighth and third graders are trending the same way. The youngest is in pre-k so I hope, but can't guarantee, she will follow suit.

It kind of rubs me the wrong way when people, especially those without children, make an over generalized statement claiming if a parent ever spanked their children then they failed as a parent. My well rounded and high achieving kids indicate that with measured use..... physical discipline....when joined with loving attention and parental commitment results in very well rounded kids more often than not.

I do think it means you have failed your child in some way. But in fairness, all of us fail our kids in one way or another. We're not perfect. I'm not calling anyone out specifically, but if someone is offended by that statement, so be it.

Holy shite this is the worst argument ever seen on this board. So we never should have allowed women to vote, we should still have slaves, etc etc. nothing would ever change for the better with your argument

You attacked first as three people on this page has attested to. You sir are completely laughable. And I'm a dip shite. Hahahahahahahaha read your post and everyone that has responded to them. Not one person has said I was wrong or my thought process is wrong. Yet 100 percent of people have said you are wrong and your approach to state your opinion is wrong. So you sir are the dip shite proven by others responses to your thoughts.
