I don't know, for me, I always felt like if I have two legs and a car, there's no reason to door dash/uber eats anything. Spending 10-20 minutes picking it up myself saves like 10 bucks. And I receive the food much quicker than if someone else picked it up for me.

I don’t know about the quicker part. But sometimes convenience outweighs cost for me.

I delivered DoorDash awhile back for a few weeks in between jobs. What they really need to do is a two way rating system so that good deliverers deliver to good tippers/orderers and the trash gets sorted to the trash.

It’s a premium service that is convenience oriented. The growth in food delivery is undeniable. No one is arguing that delivery is a money saving method; it’s convenience. No more, no less.

I have to use it b/c I don't like to cook often and I'm not close to a lot of restaurants I like. I wish I didn't. But when I use it usually the people who deliver my food look like they have severe mental issues.

Yes. Uber Eats and Grub Hub, free memberships. We use it 2-3 times a month, mostly for when the kids want pizza or if they have good promos.

We've had more problems with drive thru and pickup orders than the deliveries.

Only if someone gives me a gift card. It's an extreme waste of money to me.

No. My wife does sometimes but I am pretty vehemently opposed to strangers handling my food between the restaurant and my house.
You should be. I went in to use the bathroom at my restaurant a few months ago and was immediately assaulted by the smell and sounds of someone grunting out a gnarly shite and could see the orders he'd just picked up, sitting next to him on the bathroom floor. No idea why he didn't just take a dump before he picked up the food or just asked to leave it with the hostess a minute but called DD and reported him and had the customers refunded.

I use it a good bit when out of town for work without a car but I don't understand people who are just too lazy to go get it themselves in normal situations

My credit card gives me the free door dash account so the price isn't as bad as it normally would be though

It’s not always lazy. Some people just value their time more than others…

My time sitting at my desk working and having the food delivered to my door is worth the hassle driving in traffic and dealing with restaurant staff that is going to ask for a tip anyway. Not that big of a deal to spend 6 extra bucks to have it delivered.

No thanks. I don’t need for foreign matter on my food. Why invite it.

$6 extra dollars?

I just put in 2 pepperoni stuffed cheesy breads from Dominoes on Uber Eats to compare. It was the first thing on the menu

Total before tip was $24 and change. Assuming a $4-$5 tip looking at $29-$30

I then went to the dominos app and put in the same thing for pick up. $17.58 after tax.

Try an extra $10-$15
