Yes, but men are visual creatures. There is also fun in looking.

I think it's kind of a morbid curiosity for women. Let's face it, women's bodies are on display everywhere and are celebrated as art. Men's bodies are too animalistic and aesthetically off-putting for the same appreciation. But the one body part that is always deemed obscene is a penis. Men see their own all the time but women never see them. Unless they're about to get fricked by one. I think that might be most of the mystique there.
