Thread hijack

777, i used to ride commercial many times per month. I always thought the MD-80s took off at a steeper angle than other planes like the 737,757 and 777. Was i right?

I always thought microbursts are what happened when an SJW had dealt with too many microagressions at one time and bursts with anger.

For example:

If you were flying out of John Wayne, it wasn't your imagination. There was some kind of noise abatement program in place and planes took off at steeper angles than typical and then would throttle down as they left airport property. Also no take offs before a certain time in the A.M. (0700, I think) and no late night departures or landings (maybe 2230 or 2300).

Probably in 727s. He's been flying commercial since at least the early '80s and was in the AF/Air Guard for some period of time. He's posted about flying F-4s and may have also flown F-15s. I pretty sure he's in 777s now and nearing retirement.

Well I'm surprised he would differ on this. They didn't call the 727 the "lead sled" for nothing.

They are a duo based in the NYC area.

If you want to pay their travel expenses, you could probably get Microburst in Louisiana.

max deck angle of 25 degrees for all of those, when they came out 727(highly susceptible to windshear,) and the old 737 100/200s had a bit of a power/weight issue, different first stage climb profile so it looked like the 80s were heaven bound, plus the extended length enhanced that, vector was still about half of the deck angle

Boeing 727s, the part you posted about the wing(when configured,) was about the only thing that had some accuracy

So, you flew the 727, did you? I want to hear it from you why what I claimed to be true, is false. Let's go Lead Sled driver...
