I worked at coushatta about a decade and a half ago before getting my first career based job outta college.
It happens all of the time. Especially around main bar and the pit. Only place it never really happened was in the poker room.

In the 1980's when there was a LPG ship terminal on the north side of Hackberry where an LNG terminal is now, Vietnamese hookers always showed up when a ship arrived. Security was lax at the guard gate until someone from Hackberry came and starting shooting a ship that was loading due some Norwegian had picked his wife at a shack of a dive bar in Hackberry.
The Vietnamese hookers would show up shortly after any ship docked.

Friend's dad was one of the biggest bookies in New Orleans for decades, retired & son / friend has stepped into his shoes. Knows a lot of the players in & around the mob. He said that most hookers working the casinos follow a circle of where they work : the one's in N.O. & Shreveport & Miss. are all based out of Atlanta. There is also a higher class, "call girls", & they come into N.O. for all the big events, Sugar Bowl, Jazz Fest, Super Bowl when in N.O. etc. NOPD knows & takes a position that as long as there are no rip offs, robberies, for the most part they look the other way.

I'm surprised people are actually doubting that this happens though.
I also saw a lot of money laundering going on as well, especially in high limit slots. Guy comes in with two tall dudes, tons of cash, gets a ticket made, sits down at a 100 dollar machine for a couple minutes, prints out the ticket, cashes it out, leaves.
