Do rude people piss you off ?

UnCool story of the day
Went for lunch with kids.
We opened up front door to the place and behind me about 10-15 yards is two black women.
I held door open for them, they were at a point where it prob wouldn't have been rude in my part to let door shut.
These two fat fricking hogs didn't say thanks, smile, or acknowledge my gentleman gesture one bit and to top it off these two fat whales tied to skip in front of me to get a table.
As much as I wanted to look straight at them and say FU hogs, I didn't .
I kept my mouth shut.
My little girl looked at me after all this went down and siad daddy we do nice things bc we are nice and that's what we do.
Wisdom of an 11 yr old, I suppose.
It made me angry for a moment but im glad I didn't say anything.
Regardless, frick rude people.

I hate the awkward distance of "do I hold it, don't I?" I always do and joke about not letting it slam in their face. But this is at the office, with professional people.

Almost as bad as what happened to you is having someone holding the door open who says you’re welcome before you get the chance or if you were like right behind them and they didn’t hold the door as much is you were right behind them

The only relevant part of either of these two sentences is the fact that you started the hold too early.

It's even worse with consecutive doors.
You hold the outer, the stranger holds the inner. It's just a big waste of time for everyone. And most of all that tiny little room. What the frick is that actually for? Do we really need 2 doors in a 4 ft space? No, we don't.

You should have used this as an opportunity to teach your daughter not to be fat and rude. She’s can pick one, but not both.

My personal range for door holding is about 25 feet. I recalibrate every couple of years

Max range should be 12 feet or less.
Anything more than 3 or 4 steps is just awkward. (Unless it's raining and the person is running).

This is no longer an issue for me. Traffic has gotten so bad that I leave early for work and always have time to hold it if they are 100 yards away if I choose to do so.
For going places that are unrelated to work I always leave plenty of time or I don't go.
I will always wait and hold it for the middle aged heavy women. They always say thanks and smile.
The only hurrying I did was getting prepared when that bitch, Irma, went from your house to mine.
