I once asked a Jehovah Witness coworker what she was doing for her dad since it was Father's Day. She got all bent out of shape on my arse.

Just an FYI..

I think those are two totally different days.

Same beliefs apply.

One wouldn't even join in during our Christmas breakroom lunch party. She has no qualms taking the x-mas bonus and the 2 days holiday off though. JS.

never understood why JW canvass for new members...don't they believe only a fixed number of people will get into heaven? Why risk lowering your chances...

My SO’s mom is a JW. Not having to send her gifts is kinda nice. The only thing they celebrate is wedding anniversaries.

Just another belief system. Whatever gives people hope, I suppose.

A belief system that forces you to knock on doors or be shunned.

And if you ever leave don't expect to be able to talk to your family if they are members too.

You watched the Leah Remini special on JW as well?

So sad. One guy left and his family won't talk to him at all. Sounded eerily just like the experiences former Scientology members have when they leave.

You have former JW people basically begging their families on camera to see them, telling them how much they love them.

So yeah...JW is def a horrible cult. Where is the hope in a religion like that?

Really, didn’t know it pissed them off. The ones I have known were real laid back people. Thanks for the info, I can have some fun with this.

I don’t know why anyone would tell someone they don’t know “happy mother’s day”. I get told it every year, and it’s by no means insulting but just an odd thing to assume about someone my age.
