Do I have to go to the main Baton Rouge OMV to replace lost license plate?

How did you "lose" your plate

I went to my appointment at the DMV on Independence today for a new title on a trailer and I was the only one there. It was weird.

It only had one screw holding it in. The hole on the other side was stripped. I’m assuming it came loose and fell off.

If anyone knows the easiest way to get a replacement I’d appreciate it. Really don’t feel like spending a couple hours at the OMV on Independence Blvd. I still have nightmares of that place from a past experience.

They are doing it by appointment now and it's pretty quick in and out because of it. I'd do anything at the OMV you've been putting off while they're still doing this.

Took your advice. They had a 3:50(tree fiddy) available today. Showed up at 3:35 and was in my vehicle driving away by 3:50.

They should keep the OMV appointment only regardless of COVID.
