no they didn`t , the comparison is so outlandish they just decided to take the post at face value

I just assumed most people realized his attempt at the comparison was so ridiculous that it didn't warrant the discussion he was hoping for.

I think the better question here is do they say "United States" on German message boards when posters double post?

They aren't in denial. There are multiple remembrances and monuments to Holocaust in Berlin. If you want to see straight up denial for WWII, look to Japan.

This. Germans handle the historical reality of their place in WWII and the Holocaust with remarkable humility and forthrightness. They'll speak openly about it, though they have a somewhat detached perspective. To most the Nazis were essentially a corrupting agent that exploited the devastation of WWI to corral the people into supporting WWII and the holocaust. But they will then acknowledge/boast that some Germans stood against Hitler, so more should have. But Germany has verey strict laws regarding Nazi displays and have anti-Nazi/anti-extremist curriculum built into education (though it doesn't stop them from hating Turks and Poles).

The Japanese denial of their atrocities during WWII, up to and including glaring omissions from their history and text books, has literally caused diplomatic rows with China.

I think Hitler gets a bad rap.

Watch The Greatest Story Never Told for a neutral perspective on him

He wasn't a perfect man but a lot of what is said about him in history books is false

Really tarnished his legacy. If not for that, he'd probably be remembered like Lincoln

My neighbor a few doors down comes over every morning for coffee and he was a tank commander under Rommel in Africa. He talks very openly and freely about ww2 and says outside of the SS and other higher ups that most company and field grade officers and below in actual combat units knew nothing of what was happening in regards to the holocost. In fact, he once told me he avoided contact whenever possible with all non line officers, be them SS or otherwise, because they creeped him out and he didn't trust them. He has always been very forthright so I have no reason not to believe him. He is also Romanian by birth.

Lends credence to the theory that there was no systematic plan to kill the jews. To this day they have yet to find an order from Hilter or a high ranking SS official ordering the extermination of jews.

I'm a holocaust revisionist, not a denier. I just have my questions about the official narrative of the holocaust that is written in textbooks.

That doesn't make me a Nazi or a racist or racist, I just would like clarification on some facts. For example historians have revised the Auschwitz death toll from 4 million in the 1950s to 1.5 million today. But in that case why hasn't the number of overall Jewish deaths decreased from 6 million? The 6 million figure has stayed out since the end of WW2. In fact, the 6 million was established before Hitler even rise to power.

Here is a rundown of what I believe:

South Carolina Declaration of Causes for Secession

Slavery is mentioned 18 times. States rights mentioned twice. Hmm...

just want one of you to admit that :
-slavery was prevalent in almost every modern country
-only 5% of southerners owned slaves
- some of these slave owners were black
- many in the north owned slaves
- most slaves from Africa didn't end up in North America Then we can have a serious conversation

So because the US did it as little "less" than everyone else makes it acceptable? Im sure there were Jewish people who supported and benefited from Nazism, but does it make it any less disgusting and horrible what happened?

There were an estimated 9.1 million people in the CSA as of 1860, with an estimated 3.5 million of them slaves. Not sure where you got that 5% total from, but that would be literally impossible given those demographics. 31% of Confederate families owned slaves.

I just want to know why folks have all this pride for a flag and failed state, who's own Vice President Alexander Stephens stated in the Cornerstone Address that the " Confederacy was built on the Great Truth that the Negro was not equal to the white man".

To fly that flag means you agree with everything it stood for right?

Asking questions isn't a crime.

I just choose to examine the holocaust facts from a critical perspective rather than take all of what is written in history textbooks and witness accounts as immutable fact. And as I do that I come across inconsistencies.

A lot of the eyewitness and survivor accounts are full of lies. I made a post about it a couple weeks ago but it got anchored. For example the lie that Nazis made lampshades and soap out of Jewish skin, or that the Nazis had dogs at camps that ripped unborn fetuses from the womb, or the guy who claims he survived 11 gassing attempts. Yet they are treated as facts.

The fact that there are so many false eyewitness and survivor accounts being passed off as fact should be enough for any rational person to examine the holocaust from a critical angle.

Eve Elie Wiesel probably the most influential survivor has been caught in several lies.

You better be hoping no one at this supposed new job of yours finds your post history. Your production career will go bye bye.
