Do encyclopedias still exists?

We always had a set growing up and they were the go to for research, school reports, etc. they’d also get way out of date over time so you had to keep restocking. Most families had special shelves built to hold and display all their encyclopedias.
With the internet now, is this still a thing? Do they even publish them anymore?

My mom still has our old set of World Book encyclopedias at her house. Looks just like these. The neighbors were always coming over to use them in the 80s and 90s for school. For 80s kids, this was our internet.

encarta encylcopedia with windows 95 was like the youtube of the 90s. i mustve watched that video of the hindenburg going down half a hundred times

Damn that takes me back. I used to buy programs just because I thought being able to watch a 15 second clip on my computer was awesome. CNN put out a yearly one which was packed in the aftermath of the USSR dust settling.

Yes. I wanted to get a set because when I was young, I used to love thumb through random ones and reading about random things and feel like my sons might enjoy that. Looked up the current world book and it’s like $800.
