There is a balance in there. Salt of the earth?? Yeah but not exactly working like ditch diggers. There is a lot of free time most days in most of the positions. Where we earned our money was when something goes wrong ... annd it will. The operator has to instantly get into action knowing what to do to prevent loss of equipment or personnel.

Salt of the earth because we actually work at a job that produces marketable goods. Welfare queens?? Fire all of them and then go to Walmart a week later. Bragging about their income? A bunch of semi literate dummies that see the edumacted world around them and are too dumb to keep their mouths shut. Usually the lower echelon within the operations field.

I like to think of an education as a tool for building a well rounded human being.
