I do not like shared custody at all.
Here is what happens. One parent has standards of discipline. The other parent lets the kid do what he wants, especially if he thinks it will undermine ex wife and get the kid to favor him. Or vice versa. I've seen it in action and it makes for a messed up kid.

We don't spend money on the judicial systems, we supposedly don't spend money on schools, our roads suck, our infrastructure is falling apart, and politicians keep saying we don't have enough money, yet I'm parting with a large portion of my money every year. Where the hell is it all going?

In Alaska, its 50/59. You dont have to do 50/50, but the court will allow it.
My ex and I never fought on this. You have to be a shitty person to withhold a child from a spouse.
