The "4 is too young" is bullshite. Will they remember it when they're 30, probably not, so take them AGAIN when they are older than 4.
We went a year ago with my 3 year old and he STILL talks about it almost daily. At 4, the Op's daughter will absolutely love it (provided he plans better than he has)
It's easy to spot the broke assed cheap bastards with the "4 is too young" bullshite.
And, the key with one that age is to head back to be resort for lunch and a nap. Then hammer the parks again all evening.

That's my point .. It's a better trip for kids when they're older .. You start vividly remembering things when you're 7 or 8 .. People that bring very young kids there are mainly going for themselves .. and that's OK .. just calling a spade a spade .. The trip means everything to the parent and nothing to the kid .. even years later when an adult looks at a pic of them at 2 years old with Mickey .. That means nothing to them, but everything to the parents, because they remember that day ..
People that choose not to take toddlers to WDW aren't cheap bastards ..

So the trip to Disney for my three year old meant nothing to him, yet he has talked about it nearly every other day or so for a year now.
Seems plausible.

My kid went at 3. He remembers the plane ride bc I brought his backpack and filled it with dollar tree crap to keep him occupied. No recollection of WDW. He's 6 now.
15k and all he remembers is that bag of junk.
The 5 year old (8 now) remembers bippity boppity boutique. That's it. And the pool at the hotel.
7 days we spent there!!!

I just laugh when people say this. My youngest is 4 and will be making his 4th trip next month. Sure, he doesn't remember everything but he remembers plenty and I remember it all. Well worth the money.

I fully admitted they won't recall the memory for a lifetime, but who fricking cares...at 3-5 they have an absolute blast there, at least mine did.
I don't care at all about the ratio of lifelong memories to dollars spent. As rag eluded to, that's what cameras are for.
The fact that he may jot remember 5 years from now would never keep me from bringing my newborn when he's 3-4.
Eta: all that said...I ain't going every year. I couldn't handle that shite.

Yep mine had a blast too. We think it's funny that they can't remember
We have pictures though!
I didn't like it. Too many people milling about, derping all over.

You probably "remind" your child of a lot and they are agreeing with you .. Sure .. he is talking about it now, because he has a small scope right now .. He remembers all the characters, which you could accomplish the same with a $19.99 sing along tape too ... It's just my opinion .. don't get upset .. Just admit you and Tigerbabe really really really wanted to go to Disney ..

Proof positive ie, my broke assed cheap bastard statement.

And I guess we could take a three year old to the beach, maybe the mountains...or pawn him off on the grandparents so the wife and I could have done something international or all-inclusive. Would my son remember any of these any more?
I mean really, why would you give two shits if people decide to vacation at Disney with their kids...you know, as a family?
There just really isn't any basis for the "3-4 is too young" argument other than being a broke dick, IMHO.

You can watch the sing along tape while on an Alaskan cruise !!

Would pawn the kids off on the grandparents for the Alaskan cruise!

We went to Disneyland last year and she loved it. Talks about the dumbo ride weekly. She is going to love disneyworld. I feel bad for your kids if they have a sing a long to replace a trip. Sorry you are a poor.

Cheapest time to go us when kids are from birth to about 4. No ticket required for them

People with no kids or people who haven't been to Disney in 20 years shouldn't be posting in threads about disney advice for people with kids. Just saying.

But I went 14 years ago !!
Actually, we go to Downtown Disney and/or the Boardwalk every time we go to Gainesville for the Florida game .. I love it ..
Disney threads are great on here .. People that take the happiest place on earth this seriously are priceless .. I love the equating one that chooses to spend money on a WDW trip when their kids are 8 vs. 2 or 3 with being poor, cheap bastards ..
